Orangery Kitchen Extension in Huntingdon

Our design created a large, open-plan kitchen, dining and living space housed within a contemporary orangery. A key structural feature is the 'post corner' design; by using a discreet steel post, we were able to remove the traditional corner walls and install wraparound glazing. This opens up panoramic views, allowing the family to enjoy their beautiful garden from every part of the new kitchen area.

Functionality and comfort were also central to the design. We specified electrically operated integral blinds, giving the clients effortless control over privacy and light levels throughout the day. The project also included redesigning the adjacent utility and boot room, creating a much more practical and functional zone that supports the new family space.

As with all our projects, we managed the process from start to finish. We developed the concept, produced detailed drawings, and handled the submission for planning consent. Thanks to a thorough and well-prepared application, the planning process was very straightforward.
